Former Rose of Tralee Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain has hailed her grandmother for influencing her to pursue a career in science.
Aoibhinn spends most of her time in Dublin, but before becoming a woman in STEM, she lived in a small rural town called Carnacon, Co Mayo.
She grew up with five brothers and hardworking relatives who encouraged her throughout her career.
