As homeowners continue to look for ways to mitigate the impact of increasing heating costs this winter, Dreams has reported a huge increase in interest in both electric blankets and heated mattress toppers.
The UK specialist bed retailer usually sees sales of its electric blankets pick up when the weather begins to shift and we move into Autumn. However, in 2022 the interest has gathered pace much earlier and at a greater ascent than previous years. This year, there has been a monumental increase in search volumes - with Dreams seeing a 611% increase in searches for electric blankets on its website compared to last year.
Fabio Perrotta, Director of Buying at Dreams, said: “The uplift in demand perhaps comes as no surprise, as using an electric blanket or heated mattress topper can really help to keep you cosy during the winter months."
