A climbing instructor has tragically died after falling from a climbing spot in Snowdonia.
Emergency services were called to the scene after two climbers noticed the man at the foot of Cneifion Arete near Llanberis at around 11.30am on Saturday. After the emergency response was made aware of the incident, mountain rescue crews and the coastguard helicopter were sent out.
After the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team arrived on the scene, it said it was "evident that a climber had taken a significant fall and sustained very serious injuries." First aid was given to the man while the climbers who alerted them were guided back to safety, North Wales Live reports.
