The well-traveled offensive lineman has cross-trained and played 3,057 career snaps at left tackle and right tackle but was likely drafted as a right guard.
He gives Philadelphia a player that can play tackle in a pinch while allowing Cam Jurgens to play his natural position of center eventually.
Steen is an athletic marvel
In terms of athletically grading the top offensive lineman since 1987, Steen grades out in the top 10.
Tyler Steen was drafted with pick 65 of round 3 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.94 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 9 out of 1423 OG from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/ABW1rGjQkJ pic.twitter.com/wgWfmApokl

Steen was stout as a pass blocker
Steen could have a chance to battle Cam Jurgens for playing time early on, and he’ll join Jack Driscoll and Brett Toth as swing tackles capable of playing multiple positions.
Tyler Steen, selected 65th overall by the Eagles, had only 1 sack attributed to him on nearly 500 plays pass blocking last season for Alabama.
