Ebony Rose Kruger aka the brain behind Ebony Noire, has spent enough time backstage at fashion week to know exactly how chaotic a runway can be. She started out as a dresser, moved into styling, and eventually decided she’d rather be the one sending looks down it.
Now, barely two months out of RMIT, the Arrernte and Māori designer is bringing a refreshed version of her debut collection to Ganbu Marra at Melbourne Fashion Week 2026. Between working at a fabric store, interning in alterations and training at the boxing gym, she’s also figuring out what kind of designer she wants to be.
