Nobody enjoys a getaway in Wales quite like Carol Vorderman. The former Countdown presenter, who grew up in Prestatyn, regularly updates her Instagram followers on her travels throughout the country.
The 61-year-old is proud of her strong Welsh roots and enjoys everything from paddleboarding the coastline, to hiking the Brecon Beacons and swooning over West Wales. Carol's latest adventure saw her travel to Anglesey where she enjoyed some downtime at a stunning coastal property.
As usual, Carol made sure to document her stay, sharing the magnificent holiday home with her Instagram followers. The house, which is called Hen Cymyran, is quite literally poised on the edge of the sea.

Surrounded by crystal clear water and sand dunes, the rental, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can make the most of the views, is perfect for hosting family and friends. Carol herself was joined by her pals, Welsh BBC presenter Owain Wyn Evans and his husband Arran Rees during her stay, with the trio enjoying everything from paddleboarding to crabbing right on the doorstep.
Sharing pictures of her mini-break at Hen Cymyran Coastal Retreat, Carol revealed she had found her "dream home" and gushed over the master bedroom view, which she said was "heaven".
Posting on the social media platform, Carol wrote: "So I've found my dream home....honestly the most beautiful house I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some stunners. Right on the water with a two-mile clear swimming beach... crabs, shellfish, bigger fish, mini sharks (well they looked like that to me), everything going on..."
Hen Cymyran sleeps 15 with eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and space for up to three well-behaved dogs. It is situated on the water's edge at the head of sandy Cymyran beach, where guests can walk along the surf line right down to the coastal village of Rhosneigr.
And while the property boasts ocean views from most angles, that's not all, as the mountains of Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula stretch away in the distance, making it perfect for nature lovers like Carol. The outdoors can be utilised day and night, with breakfast on the balcony, a BBQ for lunch, and an evening under the stars in the hot tub.
Inside is just as impressive, with the water and skyline following you everywhere you go thanks to the massive windows fronting the property. The perfect hangout space for large gatherings, the most impressive part of the downstairs has to be the gigantic kitchen, which features a pizza oven and leads through to a huge wooden table overlooking the water. But the kitchen is in direct competition with the enormous L-shaped sofa which has been positioned so guests can hunker down in front of the views and get cosy around the two wood-burning stoves.
Those able to tear themselves away will only be met with even more scenery, as the master bedroom also boasts impressive views, which you can enjoy from the bed or the lounge chairs that have been positioned to make the most of the scenery.
Hen Cymyran costs from £7,995 for 15 people for seven nights in peak season, when booking through Boltholes and Hideaways. For more what's on and travel stories from WalesOnline, you can get our newsletter here.
