The forgotten Royal Family's forgotten mansion the Queen has never lived in near the M4

The Queen is the owner of a large number of grand properties, and there are quite a few that she herself has never lived in. One one of those properties is located on the Windsor estate and has been a Royal residence since 1792.

The forgotten property, which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly looked at, is Frogmore House - not to be confused with Frogmore Cottage on the same estate which was the former home of Harry and Meghan before they moved to the US.

Frogmore House was originally purchased by the wife of George III and it is currently completely unoccupied. During her 70 years on the throne, Her Majesty has never chosen to live there.
