Last night at The Oscars, drama unfolded as Will Smith smacked host Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Chris quipped about Jada Pinkett Smith's buzzcut, saying: "Jada, can't wait for GI Jane 2."
The joke Chris made was a reference to the 1997 movie G.I Jane - which starred Demi Moore sporting a buzzcut similar to Jada's.
Jada has previously opened up about her decision to shave her head, after suffering from alopecia.
And as soon as he made the joke, Will stormed up to the stage and punched the host in the face, before shouting: "Keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth."
But this isn't the first time the couple's marriage has been in the spotlight.
We take a look at their relationship through the years.
The couple married in 1997 and are parents to two children, Jaden and Willow, while Jada is also step-mum to Will's son Trey from a previous relationship.
The couple have had a rocky few years of marriage but appear to still be going strong.
Back in 2020, Will and Jada's marriage hit headlines when August Alsina, a friend of their kids, gave a bombshell interview about his romance with Jada - claiming he'd had permission from Will.
In a YouTube interview with Angela Yee, he claimed: "I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership.
"He gave me his blessing."
Following rumours about infidelity in their marriage, Will and Jada were seen having an uncomfortable conversation about their relationship on Jada's show Red Table Talk.
In the episode, Jada confirmed that she'd had a relationship with singer August, 27, during a difficult time in their marriage.
During the Red Table Talk, Will explained how the young musician came into their lives at the time his marriage to Jada had crumbled.
He said: "When Aug first came around, he was really sick. The outpouring for him from our family was initially about his health.
Jada added: "We found all those different resources to help pull from there. You and I were going through difficult time."
Will explained: "I was done with you... We were gonna separate. You go figure out how to make each other happy... We could be over."
His wife went on to explain she then got into a relationship with August, saying: "From there. As time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement.
"You giving permission only circumstance is myself. August was probably trying to communicate, I could see how he would perceive it as permission as we were separated amicably. He wanted to make it clear he's not a home wrecker. Which he's not."
However, the pair later decided to give their marriage another shot and Smith said it was a "miracle" they were able to patch things up.
After the interview aired, Will hit out at American rapper 50 Cent after he made comments about the Red Table Talk interview.
When the show aired, 50 Cent reached out to the actor on Instagram to give his support, but the conversation didn't end so well.
The rapper shared the messages in a post on Instagram, revealing he started out by asking the actor: "Yo Will you alright over there?"
The Independence Day star replied: "Yes, I'm cool. I appreciate your support brother."
50 Cent then quizzed him on Jada's comments about August, writing: "But why did she tell you that s**t on a show for everyone to see?"
Will tried to explain, writing: "We broke up so she did her and I did me."
However, the hip-hop star didn't let it go, adding: "Then she said only SHE can given permission for somebody to blow her back out," adding a confused emoji.
Will then got angry with rapper, ending the conversation by writing: "F**k you 50," leaving the star even more baffled.
50 Cent replied: "Wait, what I do?"
