Gardai in Galway have seized over €30k worth of drugs in a massive bust that saw a man arrested in the county this week, GalwayBeo has reported.
Officers arrested one man during a search operation at a residence in Milltown on Tuesday June 22 where they found the massive drugs stash. Images showing huge cannabis plants were shared by gardai on social media, as well as bags of drugs found at the premises.
The search was part of Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy launched in 2021. A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the case, as Gardai revealed in a post on Twitter.

The tweet read: "As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit seized drugs worth in excess of €30k and arrested one man in the course of a search operation in County Galway yesterday.
"A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the case."
In a separate incident on June 19, Gardaí discovered over €150,000 worth of drugs as the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search in a domestic residence in the Cappataggle area, Co Galway. In the house, Gardaí seized cannabis herb and plants valued a total of over €150,000.
Following the search, Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s, who has been charged and will today appear before Galway District Court. Investigations are ongoing and all the drugs found have been sent for further analysis.
