Their whirlwind romance saw them engaged within two months of dating, but four years down the line Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have welcomed their first child together.
The couple posted their happy news on their Instagram pages, revealing that they were "overjoyed" to announce their baby had been born via surrogate.
Friends and family rushed to congratulate the pair - who have not yet confirmed the name of their child - and express their delight.
Like with many romances, their first interaction started with a simple DM.
Nick, 29, had slid into Priyanka's Twitter DMs all the way back in 2016, casually writing: "I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet."
The pair exchanged phone numbers, but it took nearly a whole year until they met in person for the first time at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar party.
They went on to hang out a couple of times afterwards as "just friends" and it was - again - a whole year until they eventually went on their first date.
In May 2018, Nick finally took Priyanka on an adorable cinema date to see Beauty and the Beast with a group of friends.
Throughout the following months, rumours flew regarding the couple and - though they didn't confirm it at the time - Nick brought her as his plus-one to a cousin's wedding in New Jersey.
Later in June, Nick finally made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a photo of her on his Insta Story with a heart-eyed emoji.
It took just one month until the musician popped the question just a day after her 36th birthday while they were holidaying in Crete.
He confirmed the news in August as he shared a photo of them both as she flashed her £145,000 ($200,000) diamond-encrusted Tiffany ring.
His caption read: "Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.”
The couple went on to tie the knot during their three-day wedding ceremony in Jodhpur, which combined both Christian and Hindu marriage traditions.
They went on to attend another wedding reception in Delhi before heading off for a romantic mini-moon in Oman.
Their second and third wedding receptions then took place in Mumbai, which then led to them jetting off for their main romantic honeymoon in the Caribbean.
Finally, almost two months after they wed, they returned to the US for a wedding reception at Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in North Carolina, the Jonas's family restaurant.
Last year, Priyanka opened up about her reaction to her husband's proposal, telling Elle UK: "I didn’t expect the proposal at that point...It was two months.
"I thought it would happen, but it was still a complete shock. [But] I relinquished control and I just went with it. We were just sporadically meeting for about two years.
"We were texting and stuff, and there may have been a part of me that wanted something serious. But I was taking a hiatus from guys at that point. I didn’t want anyone romantically. But there’s always been something about Nick, which is why we always ended up staying in touch, no matter where we were.
"One thing to know about my husband is that when he makes up his mind, he’ll get what he wants! When he knows, he knows. There’s such a sublime confidence to it that you can’t help but be like, 'OK'."
