Inside 'ordinary' Scots flat as walls adorned with dead celebrities and psychedelic paintwork

An unassuming flat nestled on a residential street is hiding an extraordinary interior - with psychedelic paint and photos of dead celebrities.

The £72,500 three-bed property in Kingspark, Glasgow, may look ordinary from the outside, but inside is a wacky secret.

Step through the front door and you'll be greeted with walls adorned with crazy, colourful paint in swirling patterns from the floor to the ceiling.

Photos showcase the owner's apparent disdain for neutral interiors with flamboyant artwork, clashing colours and even cut-out photos of famous faces plastered to the walls.

In the Rightmove property in the southside of Glasgow, pictures show cut outs of Princess Diana, Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn, Roger Moore and Marilyn Monroe adorning each and every wall.

Other rooms show off the owner's penchant for swirling patterns and love for cats, with kitsch pictures of moggies lining the living room.

Even the ceilings are bold, with multi-coloured tiles found in the kitchen and living room, as well as wacky patterns painted on the floor boards.

The Rightmove listing advises that the flat needs a 'degree of cosmetic upgrading' but boasts a spacious lounge and three bedrooms.

The description reads: "We are delighted to offer for sale this three bedroom, upper cottage flat, situated within the sought after Kingspark district of the southside of Glasgow which requires a degree of cosmetic upgrading yet offers spacious accommodation in a popular locale.

"The property comprises: welcoming reception hallway, generous lounge, with a picture window, kitchen.

"There are three, well-proportioned bedrooms, all of which have space for additional free standing furniture as required and bathroom.

"The property benefits UPVC double glazed windows, gas central heating with modern combination boiler and private gardens."

Online house hunters were stunned by the ostentatious interior design, claiming that some choices were similar to that of famous artists Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.

One wrote: "Ok, 1. £72,500 for a flat?! Have I lived in london too long or is that unbelievably good value? And 2. That decoration needs commemorating."

Another commented on Twitter: "If you could persuade people that the flat used to belong to Tracey Emin or Damien Hirst, you could upgrade the price to £7.25m."

"Someone has put their heart and soul into that. It makes you wonder what else is out there," a third said.

The colour scheme inside defies the property's 'ordinary' exterior and the decor is sure to divide opinion.

Some homeowners may regard it as cool and interesting, but others may be seeking something a little more conventional for a home.

The property is on the market for £72,500, so is a bit of a bargain for a three-bedroom home.

Whether you think this house is a colourful dream or an eye-sore, it sure is a conversation starter.
