Guests at one of Britain's spookiest holiday home s can sleep with axes hanging above their heads - for the princely sum of £1,000-a-night.
Plane Castle, a 14th Century fortress in Stirling, central Scotland, has been graced by royalty including Mary, Queen of Scots and Prince Charles.
But now common folk who dare to enter can sleep in the regal battlement by booking a minimum three-night stay for £3,206 on Airbnb, the Daily Record reports.
Its ghoulish interior has become the subject of debate after an actor posted an image of his room on social media.
Actor Rick Carr uploaded a spooky photo of his single bed - with two axes hanging above his head.
And he wrote from his @rscarr account: "We are all staying in a castle. And this is my room for the week "
The castle is placed in a rural location and is split into two buildings which can be rented out separately or together.
Both the tower, built in 1449, and the manor, built in 1523, can be hired, with a minimum booking requirement of three nights at a cost of £3,206.
Rick's tweets have gone viral, with thousands commenting their thoughts and feelings on the unusual accommodation.
One user said: "I would rather sleep outside. Without a tent. Or sleeping bag. Than stay in that room."
Another said they were "going to have nightmares" after seeing the images and a third wrote: "I'm going to write a thriller about this [...] and I can tell you now it won't end well."
But some people say they love the medieval space, posting "I'd love to stay there", "It looks awesome" and "This is lovely! My kind of stay".
Hotels.com UK even retweeted Rick's images and wrote: "Wondering if they have a moat pool, tbh".
The castle is described online as a "magical yet welcoming and comfortable holiday home".
It boasts seven bedrooms with 14 beds, six bathrooms and a host of old-fashioned fixtures including spiral staircases, stone vaulted rooms and Jane Seymour portraits.
The castle is also a popular space for wedding bookings, with large gardens complete with ponds and a rowing boat.
At the end of last year, brave Brits were given a list of the most haunted destinations in Britain that can be visited by car.
And the Ettington Park Hotel tops the list of hotels in Warwickshire reports CoventryLive.
The grand, stately building 19th Century hotel off the A429 near Ettington, is a remodelling of a much older manor house that has stood on the site for centuries.
People have lived on the site for over 2,000 years, according to archaeological evidence. A Roman villa may have been on the site, and in the last century it was a nursing home and POW camp - there's plenty of potential for the paranormal here.
