Olivia Wilde was left stunned as she was reportedly handed custody papers by her ex-partner and father of her children Jason Sudeikis, while on stage at CinemaCon to promote her new film Don't Worry Darling.
The actress, 38, was mid-presentation when she reportedly received the legal documents from Jason - best known for starring in Ted Lasso.
Jason reportedly hired a process server to hand crucial documents over to Olivia concerning their two young children.
According to reports, Olivia was shocked when she was handed an envelope - titled "personal and confidential" - from a woman at Caesars Palace's in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Olivia's ex did not know she would be served the papers in such a public and humiliating way, PageSix reported.
It comes as the actress and director fell head over heels for Sign Of The Times singer Harry Styles while the pair were shooting the hotly-anticipated flick.
Olivia and Jason split in November 2020 and soon after, sparks flew between the actress and the former One Direction star.
However, since going public with her relationship with Harry, there has been rumours of a 'crossover' between her relationship with Jason and her new love with the biggest pop star on the planet.
At the time of their marriage breakdown, the pair said that their split was amicable and that there had been no animosity between them.
The pair share eight-year-old son Otis and five-year-old daughter Daisy together.
It was first reported that Olivia and Harry, 28, were 'dating' in January 2021 - two months after relationship officially ended with Jason.
At the time, a source told People: "They clicked immediately – they’re both very artistic, passionate people and it was one of those things where straight away everyone could see they had a spark."
Olivia's ex Jason was reportedly heartbroken by the news Olivia had moved on with Harry so soon - especially given the fact they had dated for nine years and shared two children together.
Jason and Olivia met at a Saturday Night Live wrap party in May 2011, when both were recently single.
They dated for two years before the actor popped the question in January 2013.
The former couple welcomed their son Otis in 2014 and their daughter Daisy two years later in 2016.
Before she fell for Jason, Olivia was previously married to filmmaker Tao Ruspoli from 2004 to 2010.
Following her marriage breakdown from Tao, she was linked to pop star Justin Timberlake and she also briefly dated Hollywood hunk Ryan Gosling.
While Jason and Olivia never married, they were engaged for seven long years.
Speaking to Net-a-Porter's Porter Edit in February 2016, the actress said that becoming a parent with her Jason was a 'stronger commitment' for them then tying the knot.
"We are seriously connected," she said.
"Before you have a child, marriage is the ultimate commitment and promise to one another, and then once you have a child, it's like, 'Oh, we're committed and promised already.'
Following their breakup in 2020, Jason told GQ Magazine that he'd 'have a better understanding of why' they split in a years time.
"And an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it'll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle."
