Bruno Guimarães and fiancee Ana Lidia Martins have left the UK for the much sunnier climes of the Maldives, heading there on a luxury holiday as the Premier League goes on an international break.
Brazilian star Bruno was in action at the City Ground on Friday night as Newcastle United earned a last ditch victory against Nottingham Forest, thanks to a Alexander Isak penalty. And, now as they aim to secure a place in Europe, the Magpies have an extended wait until their next Premier League match, taking on Manchester United on Sunday, April 2, just over a month after their defeat to their opponents at Wembley.
The league is breaking ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifiers and Bruno wasted no time in taking advantage of some time off as he and Ans headed to the Maldives. The couple are staying at the Anatara Kihavah Villas, with both Bruno and his other half sharing snapshots of their trip so far on their Instagram.

Posting a photo of herself on their first night on Instagram, Ana described their surroundings as 'paradise,' while midfielder Bruno posted a similar picture of himself on to his grid. Both Ana and Bruno shared a look at their meal in an underwater restaurant on their Insta stories, with them also both sharing photos of themselves enjoying cocktails on an idyllic beach.
After Ana uploaded a photo of her posing in a bikini to her Instagram, Bruno headed straight to the comments thread to write: 'Te amo, amor da minha vidoca,' which, when translated to English means 'I love you Love of My life.'
