Kylie Minogue is set to launch a massive comeback just days before her 55th birthday later this month.
The Aussie queen of pop hasn’t released new music since 2020 when her album Disco debuted at number 1 in the UK charts.
But the Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer will reportedly drop a new track from her 16th studio album days before her birthday on May 28.
She is said to have worked on it with top producer Lost Boy, who has created massive hits for artists including Dua Lipa, Becky Hill and Ellie Goulding.
The Mirror previously reported that instead of a heartbreak album - following Kylie’s recent split with boyfriend of five years Paul Solomons – it will be an upbeat dance record.
It is thought the full album will drop in the autumn and some of her new tracks are rumoured to include songs Tension, Hold On To Now and When You Love Someone.
A major arena tour is also being planned for 2024. The last time Kylie went on tour was in 2019, as she celebrated her The Definitive Collection greatest hits album.
An insider told The Sun : “Kylie has finally finished the album and is now raring to go with her return to music.
“It is being kept under lock and key and hardly anyone at her record label has even heard it."
"It’s classic Kylie and is sure to go down well with fans," the source added.
Kylie was rumoured to be performing at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool next week.
It comes after Madonna performed as an interval act at the world famous singing contest when it was held in Tel Aviv in 2019.
But fans are set to be disappointed as neither she or any other big artist are thought to be taking to the stage during the final on May 13.
However, Kylie is said to be glad to coming back to Blighty after moving to her native Australia permanently in 2021.
Before that she had spent 30 years living in the UK and was by all accounts an honorary Brit.
The Covid lockdowns are said to have prompted the move Down Under as Kylie wants to be closer to friends and family.
A source close to Kylie told the Mirror at the time: “This is something she has been thinking about for a while.
“This year, when she was in Australia for an extended period due to travel restrictions, it gave her time to think about where she wants to be based.
“Like many artists she spends much of her life on the road or travelling so she doesn’t anticipate that this is a major change for her as she’s never in one place for a long time anyway.
“Covid has given her a lot of time to think about the future and she wants to see more of her family in the times when she isn’t travelling, and so she will use Australia as her base.”
In newly-filed documents, the star has changed the service address for her four main businesses to an address in Haw-thorn, a suburb of Melbourne.
As well as her parents Carol and Ron, Kylie’s brother Brendan and sister Dannii also live in Australia, along with her nephew Ethan.
