Jake Quickenden and Sophie Church married in style, with 90 of their closest friends and family watching on.
The happy couple describe their wedding day in Ibiza as the 'best of their lives' and recall spending parts of the joyous occasion in tears, thanks to some emotional moments.
Jake, 34, and Sophie enjoyed a week on the island with their 21-month-old son Leo, and Freddie, eight – Sophie’s child from a previous relationship.
It was a poignant day for the groom, as the former X Factor star felt the absence of his late brother Oliver, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 19 following a battle with osteosarcoma, and dad Paul, who died in 2008 of bone cancer.
"I cried for most of the morning, literally couldn’t stop crying," Jake tells OK! magazine. "Soph gave me a broach of my dad and my brother, so I could put it on my suit and it just set me off. Every time I showed somebody it, I just cried again. That was such a special part of the day for me. I cried again when I saw Soph coming down the aisle."
Mum-of-two Sophie adds how 'bittersweet' the day due to some important people being missing, as the newly weds recall how they incorporated beloved late family members into the special days with sweet touches.
Groom Jake had the names of his late brother and father names embroidered under his suit collar, in addition to photos displayed and empty seats set out for them during the ceremony in Ibiza.
Jake reveals how thanks to those special touches it felt like his late loved ones 'were there in a way'.
The influencer and the reality TV star were joined a guest list made up of 90 of their nearest and dearest - including celebrity pals Chris Hughes and Kimberly Hart-Simpson.
As Sophie walked down the aisle to Frank Ocean’s Godspeed, the men her life were waiting to help her tie the knot with Jake.
Sophie’s son Freddie acted as an honorary ring-bearer alongside little brother Leo, with groom Jake recalling how his step-son brought the rings down and handed them to his best man.
Leo had been due to help his big brother out but had a 'breakdown' and instead sat with Jake's mum watching Coco Melon as his parents became husband and wife.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Sophie jokes Leo stole Jake's thunder as she recalls exchanging wedding vows with her new husband.
The couple's handwritten vows were moving and serious, but Jake made sure to crack a couple of jokes before officially becoming a married man.
"I was saying, ‘I won’t leave empty wrappers in the cupboard any more,’" he recalls. "I said, ‘I’ll still love her when she makes a noise when she eats like a squirrel.’
Once the ceremony was over, Jake and Sophie enjoyed their first meal together as a married couple thanks to a wedding breakfast of tapas starters, steak, fish and risotto mains finished off with chocolate brownie, lemon cheesecake and sorbet.
Jake may be a huge celebrity but that didn't stop his childhood friends and best men Tom, Jack and Martin poking fun at him as they made a joint speech toasting the newly weds.
The star recalls how his pals called him a 'X Factor reject' and mentioned his new wife appearing on Celebs Go Datings as they ripped him to shreds, but confesses he wouldn't expect 'anything less' from his mates.
After the mix of humourous and emotional speeches, Jake and Sophie took centre stage and they enjoyed their first dance as a married couple Kissing You by Des’ree, sung live by one of Jake’s favourite singers Lilla Vargen.
As day turned into night, Sophie recalls how their previous ban on shots quickly disappeared as their guests enjoyed tequila shots thanks to the open bar.
"I just said as long as everyone has got a drink in their hand and they’re laughing and smiling and having fun then that’s what matters," the beautiful bride remembers.
It seems everyone certainly did have fun, as the party carried on into the early hours of the morning despite originally being scheduled to end at midnight.
