Inside Harry and Meghan's 'private island plans' after Frogmore Cottage eviction

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have their eye on their very own private island following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage, it's been reported.

King Charles II asked his son and daughter-in-law to move out their remaining belongings left at the cottage as he plans to move Prince Andrew into their former home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were gifted Frogmore by the late Queen in 2018 after their wedding.

Following the eviction, Harry and Meghan are reportedly looking for a home in another country but intend to keep Los Angeles as their base. The couple live in their Californian mansion with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, after stepping down as senior royals and moving out of the UK in 2020, writes the Mirror.

Looking for a break away from both the UK and the US, the couple are thinking of settling up somewhere new and exciting. A source told Heat: "The situation is rapidly becoming uncomfortable to the point of untenable.

"There are talks of keeping base in LA and heading somewhere new like Canada, South Africa or one of the other countries where they have more popularity and public sympathy."

"There's money to be made abroad and it fits their vision of global success. Harry loved the idea of living in a natural and eco-friendly environment - he's pushing hard to go down the private island route," the source continued.

The source added that the distraction of a possible new property is welcome and the couple is viewing it as a chance to reap the benefits of their success, rather than escaping from their troubles.

This news comes after a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess confirmed they have received an invitation to King Charles' Coronation in May, but refused to comment on whether they will be in attendance. Relations between the estranged family members are said to be at an all-time low following the release of Prince Harry's memoir Spare.

At least not everyone in the royal fold thinks reconciliation is a myth, as Sarah Ferguson, said "forgiveness is key" when she was asked about the couple at a recent event.
