Inside Glastonbury's £250 showers with access to chargers and a pamper area

Temperatures at this year's Glastonbury Festival have continued to rise and with the sun shining, the need to freshen up with a shower becomes even greater.

But some festival-goers have the luxury of enjoying a pamper session whenever they want at Worthy Farm – if they are willing to pay a pricey upgrade.

Many revellers forego attempting a shower every day at Glastonbury. If the long queues in the baking sun aren’t enough to put people off, the inevitable mud bath that accumulates around the shower blocks will.

A lot of festival-goers fill up a bucket creating a DIY shower, while Mirror’s insider spotted one desperate reveller having a wash in the toilet block sinks.

However, Mirror spoke to one festival-goer who prioritised her cleanliness before arriving at Worthy Farm by booking a pamper package.

Those who want to avoid the shower queues and baby-wipe baths can purchase a pamper pass to access luxury campsite Zootopia’s facilities.

The pass gives you access to hot, private showers with towels on arrival, which can be changed on request, pamper area with hair styling tools and beauty products and fresh water flushing toilets.

There is also power available to charge devices and a chill-out tent.

One pamper pass user told Mirror: “I can’t cope 24 hours without having a shower. I wanted to go somewhere where I can shower, do my hair and makeup in the peace and quiet before going back to the craziness of Glastonbury.

“If you’re someone who can find an alternative way to wash, it’s not worth £250. But if you’re somebody who needs a hot shower every day it’s one of the very few options.”

She added she was pleased she paid extra as “all the showers [in the campsites] are disgusting” - however, the lack of lockers “is a problem”.

“The facilities are part of a different campmate so there are no lockers but for those walking over from the main site it’s annoying having to bring my stuff over each time,” she said. “Twice I went and they had run out of conditioner.”

The Glastonbury attendee revealed Zootopia had facilities onsite to grab a hot breakfast and a chill out area but felt it was “cheeky” to charge extra for breakfast after the initial bumper fee.

Off-peak pamper passes start at £175, which gives you access from Wednesday to Sunday, 3pm to 11pm. While £250 gives pass holders access Wednesday, 12pm to 11pm, Thursday to Sunday 7am to 11pm and Monday 7am to 11am.
