Geri Horner and the Spice Girls became one of the biggest symbols of girl power since they formed in 1994.
The singer hails from Watford in Hertfordshire and even grew up on a council estate and attended Watford Grammar School for Girls.
Before she became the pop icon she is today, she worked as a nightclub dancer in Mallorca, a presenter on the Turkish version of Let's Make A Deal as well as a glamour model.
At the young age of 19, she also appeared as a Page 3 model in The Sun.
It all changed for the better when she joined the Spice Girls following auditions.
Their first single, Wannabe, reached number one in 37 countries. Their debut album, Spice, sold more than 23 million copies worldwide.
In 1997, their follow-up album Spiceworld sold more than 14 million copies worldwide. Just a year later, she left the group, citing exhaustion and creative differences.
With almost thirty years of fame, Geri reportedly amassed a combined £80million fortune with her husband Christian.
The whopping fortune has been boosted by Geri making a million last year from her Ugenia Lavender children’s books.
Leaving the Spice Girls in 1998, she felt like 'that chapter was over' and that she 'needed to let it go.'
She said on her Rainbow Woman YouTube show: "I wanted a restart, so I sold all of my Spice Girls clothes and this car, but I always had a bit of regret.
"When I was a little girl, in our first family photo, I’m holding a little red car. I always wanted a red car.
“Twenty years later, I got married to a nice guy and I told him how much I missed my car so, nice husband that I have, he surprised me for my birthday and bought my car back.”
There were many rumours about why she quit the band, including fall-outs between the band members.
She also suffered from bulimia, with Robbie Williams telling her to seek treatment for the eating disorder.
After leaving the group, she went on to have a great successful solo career, with her albums Schizophonic and Scream If You Wanna Go Faster reaching top five on the charts
At one point in her life, she even tried to hit on George Michael until she discovered he was gay.
She told the RuPaul What’s The Tee podcast: “When I first left the Spice Girls it was like going through a divorce and I was a bit lost.
