Inside Emmerdale’s Danny Miller's emotional wedding as he says in his vows that wife Steph 'saved his life'

Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has opened up how his wife Steph helped him through his dark times during his emotional wedding vows.

The Aaron Dingle actor tied the knot with Steph on July 22 at Cheshire’s Nunsmere Hall Hotel. Danny proposed to Steph back in 2021 at St Lucia and later shared the romantic moment with his followers.

Steph fell pregnant a month after Danny’s proposal, despite her having been told that it wouldn’t happen ‘naturally’ for them.

Their special day saw Danny reunite with many of his former co-stars including Charley Webb, Isobel Steele, Lucy Pargeter, Dominic Brunt and more, OK! magazine reports.

And during his vows it seemed there was not a dry eye to be seen, as the actor told those close to him that he found Steph ‘at his darkest time mentally’.

Revealing the details of his speech to OK Magazine, he said: “‘What I didn’t realise was it was her darkest time too. Her mum and dad always tell me that I saved her life, but what they don’t realise in actual fact was that Steph saved my life in more ways than one and changed my life in more ways than one and for that I do owe her my life. It’s why we’re inseparable.

“We’re a team and watching Albert grow as the newest member of our team and seeing Stephanie be the greatest mum I’ve ever seen and the bestest friend I’ve ever had and now the most beautiful wife I could have ever asked for is everything.”

He added: “Stephanie Miller I adore the ground you walk on and I’ll spend the rest of my life proving that to you. I love you."

"When you’re experiencing depression you’re always thinking, ‘have I let my family down?’ and always worrying about other people’s opinions rather than focusing on yourself”, Steph told publication.

“I couldn’t put my finger on why it was happening but you don’t want to put it onto other people. But me and Danny were going through the same thing when we met again so we didn’t feel like we were putting it on each other.

“Danny was the one who taught me to talk about things and not be ashamed when you’re not feeling great and how it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person when you’re feeling down. Danny made me stronger by making me talk about it.”
