Inside Dani Dyer's romance with Jarrod Bowen - how they met and thoughts on West Ham chant

Lovebirds Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen certainly have a lot to celebrate recently - from welcoming their adorable twins to West Ham's triumph.

The Love Islander and footballer officially went public in December of 2021 and from then on have appeared loved up on social media ever since.

However Dani had her fair share of heartbreak before she found love with the West Ham player.

But she has put the past behind her and moved on with her new family life with Jarrod.

Dani admitted she "can't stop smiling" after the couple welcomed their twin daughters last month.

We take a look inside their sweet romance for where they met to their chic family home.

How it all began

Romance rumours started as Jarrod was spotted leaving the reality star's home in Essex in October 2021 wearing a grey hoodie and drove off in his Mercedes.

After Jarrod was seen leaving her house, she emerged wearing her workout gear sometime later.

The next month, Dani shared a glimpse of her romantic hotel getaway with the footballer.

She was treated to a stunning bouquet of red roses as they pair arrived at the luxury hotel, and they kicked off their stay by sipping on some champagne.

Jarrod had already got the seal of approval from dad Danny, calling him a "lovely guy".

On her Sorted with the Dyer’s podcast, Dani said: “He's invested in all of the West Ham players – because he supports the team and follows some of them.”

“He's like: "They're all my friends." I'm like: "Right, OK, Dad."'

“Everything is so early days. Jarrod is a lovely guy and we're enjoying getting to know each other.”

They finally went public at the end of 2021.

Family life

At the beginning of this year, Dani shocked fans when she and Jarrod announced they were expecting twins.

"We have been keeping a little secret..." she said. "Our little TWINS. So excited to meet our babies and watch santi be the best big brother..

"The biggest surprise of our lives but feeling SO blessed.. our family is getting a lot bigger and we can’t wait."

On May 25, the new mum shared the happy news that she gave birth with an adorable snap of her new arrivals.

The sweet snap saw the twins cuddled up together in their hospital crib as they donned matching hats and outfits.

She later revealed the couple chose to name their babies Summer and Star.

When asked by a fan how they came up with the names, Dani explained Star had been a precious name to her since childhood.

Jarrod had always liked the name Summer, and so it was an "easy decision".

The TV personality already shares two-year-old Santiago with her criminal ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.

X-rated football chant

Moments after taking home the Europa Conference League by scoring the winning goal, Jarrod shoved a supporter live on TV.

The West Ham hero was celebrating the achievement when some fans got carried away.

During an interview, a fan was clearly heard to be chanting: "Bowen's on fire, and he's s****ing Dani Dyer,” in reference to the winger’s relationship with Dani.

The song clearly left the 26-year-old irritated as he pushed the supporter away before saying: "Leave, leave, leave."

However father Danny Dyer, a lifelong Hammers supporter, previously revealed that he is not opposed to the X-rated chant about his daughter.

"There is a chant, which I think is quite sweet," said Dyer during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier this year.

"When he scores, and he does score a lot, [the fans chant]: ‘Bowen’s on fire and he’s s***ing Dani Dyer!’. I’ve been over there when they’re singing it, jumping around. Is that wrong?"

After the win, Dani shared a gushing tribute to her beau as she watched at home on TV as he delighted Hammers across the country with his important goal.

"So proud," Dani captioned the shot of her TV, alongside a crying-face emoji and trio of love hearts.
