An Ayrshire seaside town's cheapest flat is up for grabs for less than £40,000.
The one-bedroom property in Troon is due to go under the hammer with a current value of £39,500.
The top floor flat at 95 Portland Street is currently listed as the cheapest for property for sale in the town, according to online property portals Rightmove and Zoopla.
The flat sits just on the border of the main thoroughfare, just a stone's throw away from Barassie Beach and a short walk from Troon's popular South Beach, as well as shops, bars and restaurants.
The fixer upper is in need of modernisation, with the traditional flat comprising of a lounge, front facing bedroom, with with storage, compact kitchen (off lounge), and a fully tiled bathroom.
The property is being offered under the hammer at 28 per cent discount according to the home report.
Mandi Cooper, managing director of Auction House Scotland said: “With a guide price of less than £40,000, a significant discount to Home Report value, this flat has already been attracting a lot of attention ahead of our November auction.
"Although in need of some modernisation, it would make for a great purchase for a first time buyer or a rental investor - with a potential rental yield of more than 10 per cent (at Local Housing Allowance rates).”
“With the town of Troon enjoying strong tourist demand, a potential buyer could also look to use the flat as a serviced accommodation property.”
The property will be going under the hammer at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction taking place at 2pm on Thursday, November 3 at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.
Bidders will be able to place offers from home, with the auction also live streamed online, with telephone and proxy bidding also available.
Potential buyers who are unable to attend the auction are also able to bid in person.
