A derelict supermarket where 'only ghosts shop' has been captured on video in a tour of its spooky aisles.
Old tills, receipt rolls and shopping trolleys still appear to be in place at the abandoned IGA supermarket time capsule in Melbourne, Australia.
Its shelves are still partially stocked with toilet rolls, soup and jam while Kellogg's Coco Pops and Cornflakes are lined up on the floor.
A box of crackers and a solitary tin of dog food also decorate the ghostly aisles.
The eerie scenes were captured in a video by TikToker @abandoned.aus who regularly explores deserted buildings Down Under.
Despite collecting dust for the past 16 years, the empty store still contains some features from its heyday.
It has also been heavily graffitied since it welcomed its last shoppers in 2006.
The clip, titled 'ghosts only shop here', quickly gained more than 21,000 views on TikTok leaving viewers intrigued and wondering how they got in.
"Original Coco Pops," one viewer commented in relation to the 'vintage' cereal.
"Amazing video wow this is so cool, another person said.
“Looks like Covid hit the building,” another joked.While one eagle eyed viewer pointed out: "Ooooh the specials cards say it ends in 2006."
The IGA store's former opening hours are still displayed on the window and a newspaper dedicated to Steve Irwin's funeral has been left behind on the floor, the video shows.
The Aussie zookeeper and TV personality, nicknamed the 'Crocodile Hunter', died in September 2006.
Empty refrigerators and freezers, a barren fresh produce section and a delicatessen counter also appear in the reel.
Special signs promoting "99c UHT Milk" and "$31.99 Huggies Nappies are left strewn across the floor which is littered with old till rolls and rubbish.
The TikToker, who asked to remain anonymous, told Yahoo News it was a treat to explore the old IGA store.
They said: “It was pretty amazing being in an abandoned grocery store because you don’t really happen to find grocery stores abandoned.
“I’ve always had a passion for old houses and architecture and one day I explored an abandoned building and I’ve been doing it ever since.”
The content creator found old Aussie food items still siting on the shelves including an old box of Coco Pops, old Hubba Bubba chewing gum flavours and a jar of Monbulk jam which is now widely unavailable.
“It’s so awesome finding old Aussie foods in places like this, especially when I come across foods they don’t make anymore,” they added.
While some viewers said the video was "creepy" others were pleased to see the old items.
"That's a whole time capsule," one person said.
While another commented: "I Miss Monbulk jam."
