A Hunter shark fisherman has warned that unusually warm, fast-moving water off the NSW coast is squeezing great white sharks closer to the region's beaches.
Joel Nancarrow, who runs the Hunter Shark Jaw Restoration page, posted the warning on social media along with a map of ocean current data, with the coast from Port Macquarie through Port Stephens, Newcastle and the Central Coast to Sydney outlined.
