An inquest has opened after a mum died in a Boxing Day crash on the A52. Mother-of-one Jacqueline Maw, 53, died shortly after the collision on the A52 Radcliffe Road between Gamston and Stragglethorpe on December 26 at around 5.10pm.
Ms Maw had been identified by her son at the Queens Medical Centre after her death, said assistant coroner Fiona Gingell, who opened an inquest into his death at Nottingham Council House on Thursday, June 9. Ms Gingell added this identification took place on December 29, and was "sufficient evidence".
The inquest was told by Ms Gingell that a post mortem had recorded "a provisional cause of death of multiple injuries. Ms Gingell adjourned the inquest until a date yet to be fixed for a final hearing.

"I would like to express my sincere condolences to her family and friends in relation to her very sad loss," she added. Ms Maw's family previously issued a tribute, saying the keen baker was well loved by her family who would be "dearly missed".
After the crash, Detective Constable Emma Temple, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jacqueline’s family at this extremely difficult time.
“Losing a loved one in such tragic circumstances, and during the festive season, is something we know has a huge impact on families and we are ensuring specialist officers continue to work with the family and offer them support."
