‘Injured’ Sophie Turner filmed dancing in London bar just days after £100m Lara Croft show shut down over back pain

Actress Sophie Turner was filmed dancing on a night out in London just four days after her £100million TV show was halted because of a back injury.

The Game of Thrones star, 30, plays Lara Croft in the upcoming TV adaptation of the popular video game.

On Monday, Prime Video said that Turner had obtained a “minor injury” and that filming would pause briefly to allow her time to recover.

The spokesperson, however, didn’t confirm whether this happened on or off set.

Sources reportedly claimed that Turner’s injury could take around a month to heal, according to The Sun newspaper.

But just four days later, she was seen at Mexican restaurant Trejo’s Taco in Notting Hill, west London, with friends.

“She was with a group of mates and was drinking and dancing,” one reveller told The Sun.

“Sophie didn’t seem like she had any kind of discomfort. She was up on her feet and jigging about to the live band.

“She was there until the early hours of Saturday morning.”

Turner, who played Sansa Stark in the hit HBO fantasy series, has been filming Tomb Raider since January.

She was confirmed as the new Lara Croft last year and previously said she had "massive shoes to fill" when taking on the role, which has previously been filled by Oscar winners Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.

The actress previously told SiriusXM host Julia Cunningham, she'd discovered she had "a perpetual back problem" during a gruelling, months-long training regime in the run-up to the show.

Fleabag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge is writing the script for the show which is based on the 1996 video game.

Lara Croft became a pop culture icon in late 1990s due to her groundbreaking 3D gameplay and her role as a strong female lead in a male-dominated industry.
