Influencer to lead 'charm offensive' inspiring young people to sign up for military

An influencer has been selected to lead a "charm offensive" and encourage other young people in her country to join the Mexican Army.

Sergeant Giovana Villegas - who has more than 60,000 followers on social media - has become the poster girl for a campaign organised by top brass.

The woman uses her Instagram and TikTok pages to show what she does as part of the military and encourage young recruits to come forward.
