An influencer who went paragliding over the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt captured a viral moment on camera when he saw a dog perched at the top, sparking widespread curiosity on social media.
The footage was taken during the SkyOne Egypt Gate 6 paramotoring event, where pilots from around the world come together to paraglide over historic landmarks in Egypt.
While above the 4,500-year-old pyramid, Alex Lang noticed something moving at the summit. It was a dog barking at birds.
"It wasn't something I expected to see at all," Lang said in a statement, according to Newsweek. "I just saw some movement, and when I looked closer, I realized it was a dog—barking and chasing birds from the very top of the pyramid."
After Lang uploaded the video to Instagram, it went viral, with many shocked and curious about how the dog managed to climb the pyramid.
User @jlmaynard2008 said in the comments, "Did you save the dog?? Please let us know if the dog has been saved."
User @technaghost asked, "Is the dog ok?"
The next day, adventurer Marshall Mosher, visited the site and captured the dog on camera as it safely made its way back to the bottom.
User @wyattd711 said in one of the Instagram videos, "None of his friends are gonna believe him."
While @oliveantfox added, "I wonder how long it took him."
