It appears the midges have found the wrong stadium off of Lake Erie. Just like their appearance in the 2007 ALDS, where they infamously attacked New York Yankees’ pitcher Joba Chamberlain, the midges have now found their way to FirstEnergy Stadium as the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers get set for war.
One Chargers player even told Tom Withers of the Associated Press they are “terrible” on the field. The Chargers are already beat up on the field as the Browns get healthy, but now the midges add another element of surprise to this close matchup (on paper).
Hard to get a good video, but these bugs are everywhere around FirstEnergy Stadium. #Browns pic.twitter.com/QbeRpJ6DCm

Just in time for the Guardians to take on the Yankees this upcoming week, it is almost deja vu in Cleveland.
