India's mobile phone exports have increased 165-fold over the past decade, rising from around Rs 1,500 crore in 2014-15 to about Rs 2.59 lakh crore in 2025-26, underscoring the country's growing position as a global electronics manufacturing hub, the government told Parliament on Wednesday.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said mobile phone production has also expanded nearly 33 times during the period, from Rs 18,000 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 6.27 lakh crore in 2025-26.
