India's fuel demand increased 2.9% in July, with gasoline and diesel sales showing strong growth

New Delhi: India's ​fuel demand ​rose 2.9% in ​July compared with the same month last year.

Consumption of fuel, a ‌proxy ⁠for ⁠oil demand, totalled 19.92 ​million metric tons, data from the Petroleum ​Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the oil ministry ​showed.
