India's wealthiest families are no longer content with just leaving their money in traditional assets. A massive quiet revolution is reshaping how the country’s ultra-rich manage their wealth, transforming private fortunes into sophisticated, institutionalized investment engines.
According to a new report by Julius Baer and EY, titled Indian Family Office Playbook: Now, Next and Beyond , family office assets in India stood at roughly Rs 70,000 crore in 2024. That pool of capital is now set to expand 1.5 times over the next three years. This boom is being fueled by expanding wealth, increasingly smart investment strategies, and a shift toward family offices acting as long-term capital providers.
