A 14% increase last month was enough to generate $614.3 million worth of wagers in November 2024. The state’s Gaming Commission also reported $68.5 million in adjusted revenue.
That was more than twice the $35 million haul the state generated in October. Indiana’s handle increased nearly 20% year-over-year, and its revenue jumped 123%. State sportsbooks combined for a solid 6.5% hold in October, which jumped to an 11% hold in November. In November 2024, roughly $6.5 million was added to the state’s coffers. That was more than the $3.3 million from the previous month.

Another reason Indiana sportsbooks were successful in November was the Indiana Hoosiers. The team went 11-1 this season and made the 12-team college football playoff.

Both teams are located in Indiana and this will surely bring even more revenue to the state. In November 2024, football made up 30% of all statewide action. Parlays were the leader in November with 33% of Indiana’s sports betting handle.
None of the 12 retail sportsbooks collected more than $3 million in handle during November. The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg led all retail locations with $2.9 million. Their adjusted revenue of $383,000 was the most in November 2024.
