As David Braun stood on the sideline late Friday night in Bloomington, Ind., watching time run out on Northwestern’s upset bid of Indiana, he couldn’t help but feel disappointed. Not at his team’s effort after the group rallied from an “absolutely awful” first half, in which they dug themselves into a 12-point deficit against the No. 5 team in the country. Not at his team’s resiliency after quarterback Aidan Chiles scored three touchdowns in four straight scoring drives to close the game and put the Wildcats back within one score of the Hoosiers each time.
He’s disappointed at the missed opportunity. “We felt like we were in the driver’s seat,” he says.
