It was a close-fought game that India lost 2-3 with a stoppage-time winner from Uzbekistan in March this year. However, there was no such contest for most of the game as hosts Uzbekistan dealt a 3-0 blow to the visiting Blue Tigresses at Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent on Wednesday.
Already reeling under the disappointment of missing out on qualification for Round 3 after their defeats to Japan and Vietnam, the Indian team could not go home with the satisfaction of rallying against the hosts in their last game of AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers.
