Indian U-18 girls face Japan on 3x3 basketball World Cup debut

NAGPUR: The quartet of Indian girls picked from the junior national 5x5 basketball championship in Indore are all set to make their 3x3 World Cup debut at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup for Youth boys and girls at Debrecen, Hungary, on Monday.

Led by Pune's Aanaya Bhavsar, the Indian team includes her Maharashtra state mate Gunjan Mantri, Gunvi Agrawal of Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat's Aahana George. After a month-long camp at Chennai the scouts from Basketball Federation of India (BFI) selected the top four cagers for the World Cup.
