Indian Railways giving non-gazetted employees bonus equal to 78 days’ wages? PIB responds

Railway the Railway Board

A fake letter claiming that eligible non-gazetted Railway employees will receive a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days’ wages has been circulated widely on social media and messaging platforms, prompting the Railway Board to issue a clarification.

The purported communication, carrying RBE No. 101/2026 and dated October 6, 2026, claims that the Railway Board has sanctioned the bonus and that eligible employees would receive a payment of Rs 41,149.
