MUMBAI: Around 4 pm on Saturday, the one-off women’s Test between India and Australia at the Wankhede Stadium produced a moment that makes this rivalry box-office material.
As soon as Australia captain Alyssa Healy patted back a ball from her India counterpart Harmanpreet Kaur, the latter fired it back at the stumps. Taking evasive action, a surprised Healy deflected the ball behind ’keeper Yastika Bhatia for a four. It prompted Harmanpreet to appeal against Healy for obstructing the field, but on-field umpires Anil Chaudhary and N Janani didn’t agree.
