New Delhi: With the India-UK free trade agreement coming into force on Wednesday, industry bodies said the landmark pact providing zero-duty access to nearly 99 per cent of the country's exports to the United Kingdom is set to create new opportunities for Indian businesses, especially those belonging to labour-intensive sectors such as textiles & apparel, leather & footwear, and gems & jewellery.
India and the UK on Wednesday operationalised a free trade agreement, under which a host of domestic goods will enter the British market at zero duty.
