India's rank in Global Innovation Index has improved: President Murmu

India Droupadi Murmu Gujarat University Gujarat

India's rank in the Global Innovation Index has risen from 81st to 40th, President Droupadi Murmu said here on Tuesday.

She was speaking after launching ‘herSTART’, a platform for women entrepreneurs created by Gujarat University.

“I am informed that this university has over 450 start-ups. Out of which over 125 are headed by women,” Ms. Murmu said.
