NEW DELHI: India on Friday reported 2,678 Covid cases and 10 deaths. With this rise, the death toll has now reached 5,288,57. The active Covid cases in the country has increased and reached 26,583. The active cases account for 0.06 per cent of total cases.
With 2,594 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the Covid recovery rate in India is presently 98.76 per cent. The total number of patients who have recovered from the disaese is 4.40 crore.
The daily positivity rate is at 1.13 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.07 per cent. The country has conducted 89.81 crore Covid tests so far, of which 2.37 lakh tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
India has administered 219.21 crore vaccine doses, under the nationwide vaccination drive. Of the total doses administered, 94.94 crore are second doses and 21.76 crore are precaution doses.
