NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday reported 1,968 new Covid cases and 15 deaths. With this rise, the death toll in the country has reached 5,28,716.
India's active caseload currently stands at 34,598, which is 0.08 per cent of total cases. The country has reported 3,481 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With this the recovery rate in India has reached 98.74 per cent. The total number of patients who have so far recovered from Covid is 4,40,36,152.
The daily positivity rate stands at 0.94 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.29 per cent.
India has conducted 89.59 crore Covid tests so far. Of these, 2,09,801 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
The country also administered 218.80 crore Covid vaccines under the nationwide vaccination drive. Of the total number of vaccines given, 94.87 crore are second doses and 21.43 crore are precaution doses.
