NEW DELHI: India on Saturday reported 11,499 fresh Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, according to the ministry of health and family welfare data.
Active cases stand at 1,21,881 which account for 0.28 per cent of the total cases. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.01 per cent while the weekly positivity rate is 1.36 per cent.
The ministry informed that 23,598 fresh recoveries from Coronavirus were logged in the last 24 hours thereby increasing the total recoveries to 4,22,70,482 in India. The recovery rate is currently at 98.52 per cent.
255 Covid-related deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The death toll currently stands at 5,13,481.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,36,133 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 76.57 crore (76,57,35,314) cumulative tests.
Meanwhile more than 174.71 crore (1,74,71,26,630) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category, and more than 11.80 crore (11,80,57,557) balance and unutilized Covid Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
Moreover, with the administration of more than 28.29 lakh doses (28,29,582) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 177.17 crore (1,77,17,68,379) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
