India march on with 13-0 thrashing of Thailand in Women's Asian Champions Trophy

RAJGIR: Deepika on Thursday evening showed her class as she scored five goals to help India thrash a hapless Thailand 13-0 in the Asian Champions Trophy in front of a packed stadium at Rajgir Sports Complex here on Thursday evening.

After struggling with the penalty corners in the first two matches, the 20-year-old found her touch finally as she scored two of her five goals directly from the set piece. Manisha Chauhan, playing only her fifth international match, also scored from a PC directly beside a field goal, which was incidentally the first of her career.
