An Indian court ordered the release of three leaders of the viral "cockroach" movement on Sunday, a day after their detention ahead of protests over alleged irregularities in voter-roll revisions. Upon his release, founder Abhijeet Dipke called Narendra Modi an "embarassment to India" in a social media post.

The leaders of India's youth-led online "cockroach" movement were released on Sunday, their lawyer said, a day after they were detained to thwart a major protest against the election commissioner.
