IND vs PAK: Virat Kohli forgets to wear correct jersey vs Pakistan

NEW DELHI: India star batsman Virat Kohli had to make an early exit from the field during the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Virat's departure was prompted by the observation that his jersey differed from that of his teammates. While the rest of the players sported tri-color stripes, India's official jersey for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, on their shoulders, Virat's jersey had three white stripes.

Virat, after being pointed out, promptly switched to the correct team jersey, featuring the tri-colored stripes on the shoulders.

Following this quick change, he returned to the field without further delay.

India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan.

Opening batsman Shubman Gill returned to the team and replaced Ishan Kishan in the Playing XI. Gill missed out on India's first two matches due to dengue fever.

India came into the match unbeaten with victories over five-time winners Australia and Afghanistan.

Pakistan, who also won their two matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, came in unchanged from their previous win.
