Incumbent Republican Senator John Cornyn expressed joy at Rep. Jasmine Crockett's decision to run in the next election for the Upper House.

"Am I hiding my glee? I'll try to wipe the smile off my face, I would say it's a gift," Cornyn told Semafor when discussing the race in Texas.
