Incredible Edinburgh time warp flat hits the market with decor from another age

An Edinburgh flat has hit the market with an incredible interior that appears it hasn't been touched for decades.

The unique one-bedroom flat has become available to purchase near Leith Links, with agents currently asking for offers over £200,000 for the property.

Coming with its own private front garden and well-sized rooms, the flat is expected to be well sought after, however it's decor is what makes it really unique.

Although requiring some "modernisation", the ground-floor flat's decor has been preserved from what is thought to be the 1970s, coming with patterned carpets and matching curtains.

The front room appears to have been given a mustard yellow theme, with the carpets and curtains all matching the colour scheme. A similar idea has been carried out in the kitchen and dining room, with the decor all featuring green.

Speaking about the property, agents Warners said: "Set on a quiet street, moments from the vast open green spaces of Leith Links is this spacious main door lower colony villa. Boasting a private front garden, free on street parking, double glazing and gas central heating this historic 19th century property which would now benefit from modernisation would make an ideal home in a highly sought-after location.

"The accommodation comprises a welcoming entrance hallway with ample sized storage cupboards, bright bay windowed lounge, garden facing dining kitchen, well-proportioned double bedroom with built-in wardrobe and the apartment is completed by a modern shower room.

"Externally the private front garden is paved for convenience with mature bushes offering an attractive border."
