Carol Vorderman has been hailed as a 'national treasure' who is 'aging in reverse' after she celebrated 40 years of appearances on our TV screens.
The Welsh media personality shared a montage of TV clips - ranging from her time on Countdown to her segments on This Morning - in a post on Instagram. And 'Vorders' vowed she has "much more" planned for 2023 - starting with Channel gameshow Taskmaster on later today (January 1, New Year's Day).
In her New Year's Eve Instagram post, Carole said: "Forty years of the telly this year. Still around doing a bit of telly since 1982 and enjoying it lots.

"On Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards we celebrated 23 years on air....my dear friend Peter Willis created it and we brought it to telly all that time ago. Heck. Still love it.
"And now being a small part of the This Morning family with so many lovely people...it’s a total joy.
"Hosting Lorraine for a while and appearing on lots of shows as a guest, it’s been a great year. Doing a rap on Big Narstie...
"So much more planned for 2023....starting with Taskmaster on New Year’s Day... see you there.
"And then an exciting daily quizzy riddly video and podcast from Monday to Friday starting on January 9th...it’s called Perfect Tenand all done in 10 minutes. New types of questions which I think you’re going to love.
"And thank you for all the lovely messages. Means the world.
"Happy New Year from me....Vorders x"
Fellow celebrities and presenters were among those praising Carol and congratulating on her 40 years in showbusiness. Christine McGuinness commented: "Amazing Carol - and still looking unreal every time!"
And Ellie Phillips said: "Incredible. Such an inspiration."

Fans were also keen to pay their own tributes. David Dickinson commented: "And you look younger now than when you started. I think you're ageing in reverse."
