Today one of the world's largest Tall Ships, the 350-foot-long Libertad, arrived into Dublin Port.
The impressive ship sailed into Dublin this morning and is part of the Argentinian Navy’s training voyage around the world. This magnificent vessel with a crew of 289 on board will be moored at Berth 18, Dublin 2, just east of the 3Arena and the Tom Clarke Bridge until Sunday.
Members of the public can inspect this majestic vessel up close, free of charge from 2 -6pm on Saturday July 30.

One Argentinian national, Anastasia Mascagni, was there to witness the arrival with friends. She told Dublin Live "I am very happy because it's very important for me and my friends to see this today as it makes us all proud."
Her friend Juan Lima told us: "The link between our countries is so strong as we have a huge Irish Argentinian community with descendants from Ireland who came here in the 1960s and 70s."
This Tall Shop is especially significant to Ireland as Mayo man Admiral William Brown was the founding father of the Argentinian Navy (1777 - 1857). He was a key figure in their war of independence and is still a hero to the Argentinian people to this day.
A statute of him, a replica of one situated in Buenos Aires, stands at Sir John Rogerson's Quay which was unveiled by former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in September 2006.
